INTRODUCTION TO ENGLISH

1-5 PARTICIPANTS

The goal of this course is to help people who speak little or no English learn the tools to improve. Our goal is discovery based: We assist the student in his or her discovery of English through the use of video materials, reading, and writing. We create opportunities to practice English and try out new language. Finally, we set up communicative and project goals which allow students to measure their success and work towards concrete, clearly defined goals.

At the end of the 54 hour program:

• Participants will be able to have basic conversations with English speakers.
• Particpants will be able to read basic news articles, ask and answer basic questions
• Particpants will have the STUDY TOOLS to continue to improve their skills through reading, watching TV, conversing and messaging.

A2 ENGLISH LEVEL REQUIRED
1-4 PARTICIPANTS

The goal of this course is to help people who speak English slowly or clumsily. Through class discussions and the completion of class discussion, projects and home practice students will become far more fluent and conversant.

At the end of the 54 hour program:
• Participants will be able to watch television more comfortably
• Participants will be able to participate in most business and daily conversation
• Participants will be able to use English speakers to develop English.
